Welcome to all our new students and families and welcome back to all our Year 8’s.  We have had an excellent start and our new students have settled in well.  There are many opportunities available to our students and they are busy choosing what options they would like to join in.  Every student in the school has selected their goals that they would like to achieve.  Musical, sporting and cultural activities are numerous and ongoing in the school, students need to listen and read the daily notices to join in the activities on offer. 

All our students have been tested in all academic subjects and this early testing enables us to cater for all learning needs in the school.  Testing will occur again mid-year so parents and school alike can monitor progress.  Our teachers are very keen and motivated to ensure every student achieves in all areas.

We want our students and families involved in the school and encourage people to come in and feel free to discuss any concerns that you have.  We have already had our ‘Meet the Teacher’ evening and it was a delight to see so many parents.

 Some of our students are also busy fundraising for our overseas trips.  There is one in Samoa and Singapore in the middle of the year; this will be a great opportunity for our students.  We are also looking forward to visiting our sister school in Singapore.

 We offer all students a broad-based education incorporating as many opportunities as we can.  Our curriculum is right up to date and has ongoing revision.  We are meeting and achieving above the expected requirements of students through an integrated teaching approach so that we can achieve individual learning outcomes that are positive and meaningful to each student. 

 We want lifelong learners and we are always preparing students for their secondary education.  We are proud of our school and with the many comments from parents saying their children’s environment here is “a safe, caring and happy environment that promotes confidence in their child”.
