 Henderson
Intermediate
School
was founded in 1964. We are an urban co-educational state school
for Year 7 and Year 8 students
in West Auckland, New Zealand. Our present roll is 500 and growing. Our
student population is ethnically diverse, reflecting the ever changing
face of Auckland in the 21st century.
 Located
at 70 Lincoln Road in the heart of Henderson, we are fortunate to boast
very large, level playing fields and well established trees. The area
was previously vineyards and apple orchards, some of which still run as
viable businesses today .
Well worth a visit!

We
have just finished building our gym at Henderson
Intermediate School. We are most
thankful and appreciative to the NZ
Lotteries Grant who have helped us with
our project by giving the school
$542,271
towards the project.
The Gymnasium is located at the
rear of the school to allow easy access
for our community.
The Gymnasium will
integrate our community, enabling people
to learn many varied sports and talents
from around the world. Our vision
is that it will become a centre that
feels safe to our young people and as
Waitakere City has the largest
proportion of young people it will
actively enable them to enjoy sports and
fitness.
We are proud of our
new venture and invite you to see the
Gymnasium!
