Welcome to Room 17

Talofa lava

My name is Toni Fa’aletatau and I am the classroom teacher for Room 17 - Samoan bilingual class in Tupu ma Ola. This term has started with a BANG and many students have already taken on various roles and responsibilities. Students were given the opportunity to nominate and vote for our own class leaders and our nominated class leaders are the following:

Council Leader: Noah Taefu Tia

Sports Leader: Fati Fala

IT Leader: Adamson Tautaiolevao

Enviro Leader: Wattrence Ulu Kini

Our school Head Boy is our very own Jonathan Leiataua.

This term our Inquiry Learning is about ‘Celebrations’ and we will be learning about various Samoan celebrations and traditions and comparing these to those from other cultures. This is a good starting point for our students to learn more about both  - Gagana Samoa & Aganu’u (Samoan language and culture).
