Welcome to the Henderson Intermediate School family.  We are proud of our School.  Our facilities are

“state of the art”. These include an Administration Block, up to date classrooms, a new Gymnasium, Auditorium,

Computer Technology Suite, Library, Resource Room and Atrium.  Our Technology Block has been

re-modelled incorporating a Film and Dance Studio.  We are proud to have the latest technology to assist your

child in his or her learning.

 

The School is committed to excellence and has consistently achieved well across a broad range of areas – not

only in the core curricula but also in Music, the Arts and a wide range of sports.  We believe that every student

at H.I.S, can and must make progress and have success.  There are many opportunities for students.  We

encourage them to explore, discover and develop their interests and talents. 
 

The “Intermediate Years” are a very special time in your child’s life.  They are the middle years.  We need you to be involved.  Your child is going through a time of huge change physically, emotionally, academically and socially.  We welcome your input and contact with the school, partnership with you is critically important.

 

We set high standards of achievement.  Consequently, the development of sound work habits and a positive attitude to learning, are a focus. 

 

We resource the School to meet the special needs of this stage. The academic, the physical education, the extra curricula and the pastoral care programmes are all focused around meeting the individual needs of students.
