Henderson Intermediate
...where students flourish and grow

This year the school council is very enthusiastic and keen to represent the students of Henderson Intermediate School. They have selected these charities to fundraise for - Cure Kids, Eat my Lunch, Pink Ribbon Breast cancer day and KidsCan. Each term they will focus on one charity, but will also support Riding for the Disabled, Cancer Daffodil Day, Salvation Army and St John’s Ambulance with one off events in 2023. We invite speakers from all of these charities to come to speak at our assemblies.

 

The council holds sausage sizzles, coke float days and bake sales across the year to raise money for their charities and their school project. They also run novelty and food stalls at the discos. Councillors plan the disco theme and encourage students to attend.

 

Councillors report back to their classes about what they are doing, and bring suggestions and problems from the classes to the council meetings. The head students will present a report to the Board twice a year about the school council’s activities.
