TE WHĀNAU MOKO

Tēnei rā te mihi i runga i ngā whakaaro manahau o te wā. E tuku kau ana ngā tini whakamānawa ki a koutou. Tēnā koutou katoa.

Nau mai, haere mai ki Te kura takawaenga o Waitākere, o Te whānau Moko anō hoki.

We are Te whānau Moko, the Māori unit at Henderson Intermediate School.

We are committed to:

  • the study and practice to maintain our tikanga Māori

  • the integration of Māori values into everyday life

  • the revitalisation of Te reo Māori through normalisation

  • Acknowledging the importance of Māori culture to Aotearoa as tangata whenua

We cater to a variety of different Te reo Māori abilities.

From true beginners of te reo Māori all the way to fluent speaking te reo Māori students.

We have a Reo-rua Māori Bi-lingual unit that operates at a 50% or above te reo Māori range. So you will be getting the best of both Māori medium learning and English medium learning. An excellent choice for students or whānau that are beginning of Te reo Māori and also students or whānau wanting to learn Te reo Māori.

For those that are fluent in Te reo Māori or wanting to be fully immersed in Te reo Māori, we have our Rumaki Full Immersion Te reo Māori class that operates between an 81% - 100% te reo Māori range. Kia rumakina koe e tō tātou reo huia kaimanawa.

What ever your level of reo is, where ever you come from, what ever your culture or ethnicity is. If you are eager to learn Te reo Māori through Māori medium.

Tahuti mai, mānawa mai rā ki Te whānau Moko

"E tipu e rea mō ngā rā o tōu ao"
